Significant Weather Advisory for Attractions Area until 3:30 PM Sunday 7/21

A group of colliding outflow boundaries are expected to trigger strong thunderstorms over the next hour in the attractions area. Pea-sized hail, 40 MPH winds, heavy rain, and lightning are expected to be the primary threats.

...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHWESTERN ORANGE AND
NORTHWESTERN OSCEOLA COUNTIES UNTIL 330 PM EDT...

At 224 PM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists were tracking
strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Poinciana to
near Osceola Heritage Park. Movement was northwest at 5 to 10 mph.
Additional strong storms are expected to form across northwestern
Osceola county into southwestern Orange county where several outflow
boundaries will come together.

Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Orlando, Kissimmee, Ocoee, Winter Garden and Windermere.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
