11AM Thursday: Track Still Similar, but Strengthening Possible. Prepare but Don’t Panic.

The 11am track from the NHC is starting to fall in line with the “start South, jog North” idea that the models were indicating in our morning update. The storm could be a category four at landfall, but would weaken as it passes over the state. You should have an active preparation plan, and be ready to implement tomorrow or Saturday. Most importantly, the storm is smaller than Irma, so impacts may be more localized than with Irma, but that too can change. Impact to our area would be late Monday or early Tuesday. As always, prepare but Don’t panic. Next track available at 5PM.
