Threat of Isolated Severe Storms Continues from Nestor’s Spinoffs

SPC Slight Risk

The Storm Prediction Center has put Central Florida at a “slight” risk (level 2 of 5) for more severe weather Saturday as Tropical Storm Nestor spins well offshore but spits out squalls over the peninsula.

A radar-confirmed tornado late Friday night caused significant damage in the town of Kathleen, near Plant City and Lakeland.
