Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Attractions Area Until 3PM Monday 4/20

NOTE: This post has been edited to reflect updated information from the Storm Prediction Center and to correct an erroneous reference to “Wednesday”

An approaching storm system has the potential to spawn a few severe thunderstorms as it passes through central Florida Wednesday Monday morning and afternoon. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the area, and also says there is a “marginal” “slight” risk (risk level 1 2 of 5) for severe weather in the area. The primary threat will be strong winds (5% 15%+ chance) and hail (5%+ chance). The tornado that is relatively low (2%+ chance). As a reminder, the percentages shown refer to the overall probability that these things will occur within 25 miles of where you are.
