Slight Risk of Tornadoes as Eta Passes North of the Attractions Wednesday and Thursday (11/11 & 11/12)

SPC Slight Risk

The Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight chance (level 2 out of 5) of severe weather in the Attractions Area as Hurricane Eta is expected to weaken to a tropical storm and make landfall somewhere north of Tampa late Wednesday and into Thursday. The primary path of the storm’s center is currently expected to travel north of the Attractions area, but we will be on the “dirty” side of the storm that is more prone to spin-up tornadoes. The current tornado risk for our area is expected to be between a 5% and 14% likelihood that a tornado will occur within 25 miles of where you are.
