Slight Risk of Severe Weather in Attractions Area Thursday (10/28)

SPC Slight Risk

The Storm Prediction Center is cautioning that some severe thunderstorms and maybe even isolated tornadoes are possible in portions of Central Florida this morning and afternoon. SPC says that multiple corridors of thunderstorms were ongoing this morning near an eastward-moving cold front over the east-central Gulf of Mexico. Interaction of that front with a preceding warm front, along with daytime heating, is likely to cause increased instability which could lead to some severe weather. Overall the risk is considered “slight,” which is level 2 out of 5.
