Here’s an overview of the latest operational impacts to theme parks and other attractions in central Florida due to the approach of Nicole. All information is subject to change and is updated as new information is received. Check directly with each attraction prior to planning your visit.

Walt Disney World
Here’s the latest from Walt Disney World…
Disney Theme Parks
- Disney Theme Parks will close early on Wednesday (11/9) and are expected to open later than normal on Thursday (11/10). Partially used multi-day theme park tickets impacted by Hurricane Nicole will be automatically extended to allow use of the remaining unused ticket days through September 20, 2023. Park reservations will still be required to enter a park.
- Animal Kingdom will close at 5PM Wednesday; last dining reservations are at 5PM. The park is expected to reopen at 1PM Thursday.
- Hollywood Studios closes at 6PM Wednesday; last dining reservations are at 6PM. Fantasmic! will not occur Wednesday. The park is expected to reopen at 2PM Thursday; Fantasmic! will not occur Thursday.
- EPCOT will close at 7PM Wednesday; last dining reservations are at 6:30PM for most restaurants, and at 6PM for Monsieur Paul, Space 220 Restaurant, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, and Garden Grill Restaurant. Fireworks will not occur Wednesday. The park is expected to reopen at 1PM Thursday.
- Magic Kingdom closes at 7PM Wednesday; last dining reservations are at 6:30PM for most restaurants, and at 6PM for Be Our Guest, Liberty Tree Tavern, Diamond Horseshoe, and Cinderella’s Royal Table. Extended Evening Hours for Wednesday have been cancelled. Fireworks will not occur Wednesday. The park reopens at noon Thursday. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is expected to occur as scheduled on Thursday.
Disney Water Parks, Recreation, Shopping, and Extra Experiences
- Disney Springs will close early at 7PM Wednesday (11/9); last dining reservations are at 6:30PM. Disney Springs is anticipated to reopen at noon Thursday (11/10).
- Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will be closed Thursday (11/10).
- Blizzard Beach is currently closed for the season.
- Winter Summerland Mini Golf will close early at 7PM Wednesday (11/9) and remain closed Thursday (11/10).
- Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf will close early at 7PM Wednesday (11/9) and remain closed Thursday (11/10).
- Cancellation policies for dining and other experiences such as Savi’s Workshop and Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique are not currently being enforced. Pre-paid reservations will be automatically cancelled and refunded to the original form of payment.
- Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will have no performances on Wednesday (11/9) or Thursday (11/10).
- Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise has been cancelled for Wednesday (11/9).
Disney Resort Hotels and Overnight Experiences
- Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser will cancel its Thursday (11/10) voyage. Affected Guests are being contacted.
- Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground guests will be required to depart by 3PM Wednesday (11/9). Disney is contacting affected Guests to help them find alternate accommodations. These accommodations are expected to reopen sometime on Thursday (11/10).
- Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort guests will be required to depart by 3PM Wednesday (11/9). Disney is contacting affected Guests to help them find alternate accommodations. These accommodations are expected to reopen sometime on Thursday (11/10).
- Other Walt Disney World Resort hotels remain open to Guests.
- Character breakfast locations at Disney Resort hotels will not include characters on Thursday morning (11/10) to provide a larger capacity for meal service.
Universal Orlando Resort

- Theme Parks and CityWalk will close early at 5PM Wednesday (11/9) and are expected to open later than normal on Thursday (11/10).
- Volcano Bay water park will be closed Wednesday (11/9) and is expected to open later than normal on Thursday (11/10).
- Resort Hotels remain operational.
SeaWorld Orlando

- SeaWorld closes at 4PM Wednesday (11/9) and will remain closed Thursday (11/10).
- Aquatica Orlando will be closed Wednesday (11/9) and Thursday (11/10).
Disney Cruise Line and Port Canaveral
Here’s the latest from Disney Cruise Line and Port Canaveral…
- Disney Wish: The Disney Wish will arrive into Port Canaveral on Friday (11/11) later than originally scheduled. Disney Wish Guests sailing on Friday should postpone their arrival to the terminal by four hours after their selected port arrival time, but no later than 8:30 p.m. Guests will not be able to access the cruise terminal or parking facility in Port Canaveral until four hours after their selected port arrival time.
- All other Disney Cruise Ships: There have been no announced changes.
- Port Canaveral remains at Port Condition “ZULU”: Port Canaveral has conducted initial safety assessments of the Port following the passage of Hurricane Nicole. An ‘All Clear’ has been issued for surrounding roadways. For landside operations, the Port is now OPEN. Port Canaveral tenants and businesses may return to the Port to evaluate their premises and resume operations when safe to do so. All waterside and vessel shoreside Port operations remain at Condition Zulu (i.e., remain CLOSED) until channel surveys are conducted and evaluations of vessel restrictions can be completed. The Canaveral Lock remains CLOSED to all but government vessels.
Orlando International Airport (MCO)

- Commercial operations will at MCO will cease at 4:00 PM Wednesday (11/9). Operations will resume once conditions permit.
Kennedy Space Center
Here’s the latest from Kennedy Space Center…
- Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will be closed Wednesday (11/9) and Thursday (11/10). Guests with reservations are being contacted. Those with existing reservations will be automatically refunded within 1 billing cycle.
- KSC anticipates reopening on Friday (11/11) at 9:00 AM pending completion of a thorough assessment of the property.
