Freeze Warnings and Falling Iguanas. Even Our Seasons are Weird.

Lake County Florida (one county west of the Attractions) is under a freeze warning. Wind Chill Advisories are out for Orange County (home of the big three theme park complexes), Brevard County (home of Port Canaveral and Kennedy Space Center), and Polk County (home of Legoland). And yet somehow, Miami finds a way to outdo us all.

NWS Miami via Twitter

All of a sudden, our problems with cold weather seem kind of insignificant. I’ve had to deal with a lot of things in Central Florida… but never iguanicicles. So while the folks at the National Weather Service in Miami are warning of a quasi-biblical onset of reptilian lawn darts, we’ll be here thinking that… despite temperatures near 31 degrees, winds up to 25 MPH, and feels-like temperatures as low as 21 degrees… maybe it’s not so bad after all.
