Record High Set in Orlando Saturday

While we’re all (generally) stuck at home during an unprecedented medical… thing… the temperature outside is soaring. Saturday’s high temperature at Orlando International Airport reached 93 degrees, one degree warmer than the previous record that was first set in 1923 and tied most recently in 1994. The high is about 13 degrees above the typical temperature for this time of year.

It’s a continued trend of warm weather in the area, with this past Thursday morning’s low temperature of 69 degrees being the warmest low temperature on record for that date in history.

High temperatures are expected to slowly drop by midweek, with Wednesday’s high expected to be “only” 84. And though next Saturday is a bit too far away for a tremendously accurate forecast, early indications include the possibility of a high temperature around 79 degrees.
