WESTERN ORANGE AND NORTHWESTERN OSCEOLA COUNTIES... At 449 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Wekiwa Springs State Park to near Horizon West to Champions Gate. The storms are nearly stationary. Winds in excess of 40 mph and funnel clouds are possible with these storms. Locations impacted include... Orlando, Apopka, Ocoee, Winter Garden and Mount Dora. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. Funnel clouds can occasionally touch down and produce brief small tornadoes. Move indoors and stay away from windows.
