...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southwestern
Seminole, Lake, Orange and northwestern Osceola Counties through 515
PM EDT...

At 408 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Lake Harris to near Clermont to Sanford, south
to Orlando. These storms were nearly stationary. Numerous
thunderstorms are ongoing across the Orlando Metro and southern Lake
County, with many more expected to develop over the next hour.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Orlando, Kissimmee, Sanford, Apopka and Altamonte Springs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or hard-topped vehicle. Remember, when
thunder roars, go indoors!

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
