9PM Tuesday: Dorian Drops By

The Attractions area is beginning to feel the “bulk” of Hurricane Dorian. The radar image above, captured a little before 9PM on Tuesday, shows rain advancing through the portions of the central attractions area. The swirl of the tropical system is well evident when viewing the radar loop.

Winds in the attractions area have so far remained, as forecast, below tropical storm force. The image below shows radar-estimated wind speed. Blues are winds below tropical storm strength; Greens are at tropical storm force winds; and yellows are hurricane force winds.

A tropical storm warning remains in effect for Orange County, home to Disney, Universal, and SeaWorld. Brevard county, home of Kennedy Space Center and Port Canaveral, remains under a hurricane warning.
