Marginal Risk of Severe Weather in Attractions Area Friday Night and Saturday

SPC Marginal Risk

The Storm Prediction Center says there’s now a risk of severe weather in the Attractions area Friday night thanks to Tropical Storm Nestor firing up some convection, paired with an approaching warm front. The threat carries over into Saturday as the core of Nestor passes well to the north, but the general sloppiness and poor organization of the storm causes potentially widespread rain.

So far, no tornado watches or severe thunderstorm watches have been issued.

...THERE IS A MARGINAL RISK OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS OVER A PORTION
   OF FLORIDA...

   ...SUMMARY...
The threat exists for a tornado or two, along with isolated
thunderstorm gusts near severe levels, tonight across parts of the
   Florida Peninsula.

   ...Discussion...

Primary change to previous outlook has been to expand the MRGL risk
farther east into the central FL peninsula for the possibility of a
supercell or two developing along the northward-advancing warm
front, posing a risk for a brief tornado.
