The Storm Prediction Center is advising of a marginal risk (risk level 1 of 5) of severe weather in the Attractions Area on Wednesday. The primary threat is damaging winds, with a 5% – 14% chance of damaging winds happening within 25 miles of where you are. The risk of hail is less than 5% and the tornado risk is less than 2%.
The overall severe potential is expected to be rather limited, but some damaging downbursts are possible.
A marginal risk is the lowest “named” level of risk, and refers to the possibility of isolated severe storms, which are expected to be generally limited in duration, coverage, and/or intensity.
