Continued unsettled weather associated with Tropical Storm Cristobal has prompted the Storm Predicition Center to issue a marginal risk (level 1 of 5) for severe weather in the Attractions area on Saturday. The primary threat is damaging wind (5% to 14% chance), with a 2% to 4% chance of a brief tornado, especially to the southwest where a slight risk (level 2 of 5) has been issued. A few tornado warnings were issued earlier today in the Tampa area as the tropical storm pushed northward from the Bay of Campehce towards the Louisiana coast. As we told you yesterday, the storm is well away from Florida but the bulk of the rain and wind extends well to the east of the storm center.
