Both East Coast Disney Beach Resorts Under Evacuation Orders

Disney’s Vero Beach Resort and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort are both facing evacuation orders in advance of Hurricane Dorian.

Indian River County, FL has issued a mandatory evacuation order effective Monday morning for all points east of US Highway 1, which includes Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. A note on DisneyVacationClub.com indicates that the resort closed at 6PM Sunday night. It is unknown when it will reopen.

Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort is not yet listed as closed on the DVC website, but the Governor of South Carolina this evening issued a mandatory evacuation order of that state’s entire coast effective at Noon Monday, including Beaufort County Zone A, which includes both the Hilton Head Island Resort’s primary campus as well as its nearby beach house. It would stand to reason that the resort will be closed accordingly.
